Manaslu Circuit trek is a stunning trek with spectacular views of Mount Manaslu - also known as Kutang; the 8th highest mountain in the world with the height of 8,163 meters. The cost of accommodation can increase as you ascend higher and higher, with a decrease in the facilities being offered. However, these costs are relatively cheaper than those you might have incurred in other treks.

8. High altitude freshwater lake:

The region is enriched with a bunch of freshwater lakes above the altitude of 3500m where we can see alpine migratory duck which is one of the rare species found in this region. The famous lakes are Birendera tal, Phunkar lake which we can see during the journey.

Another important part of this Manaslu Circuit Trek while trekking in Nepal is you can have several side treks and the destination can be reached after a couple of hours. Birendra Lake, Pungeen Gomba are some of the side treks that you can take while on the trek. However, you should keep in mind that these side treks are devoid of teahouses or hotels, thus you should return in a reasonable period of time on your initial trek route. September to November as well as March to May is considered the best seasons to take the Manaslu Circuit Trek. During Manaslu trek, Tsum valley trek can be organized which lies in the same region, however, need to add a couple of days if your wish to trek at that region.

 The government of Nepal started to protect this sanctuary with this name Manaslu Conservation area which is home to several birds and wildlife. In elevation, the area ranges from 1,400 m to 8,156 m at Manaslu.
